PANGYO, Korea (October 28, 2019) – NCSOFT, a global premier game developer and publisher, drew to a close for this year’s global e-Sports competition ‘Intel Blade & Soul Tournament 2019 World Championship’ with the final champion – ‘Fear No One’ from China.

The Championship is the only e-Sports competition with MMORPG game produced in Korea and has been held for 5 consecutive years since 2015. This year, 18 teams from 9 different regions competed to become the Champion.

The World Championship match on October 26th at the Seoul Olympic Park Velodrome was part of NCSOFT’s 2-day cultural festival, ‘FEVER FESTIVAL 2019’.

10 teams from the qualifying match advanced to the final round. ‘Fear No One’ (Shen Haoran, Zhang Zhihao, Xu Xiaojun) from China took the 1st Championship title through the ‘Shackled Isles Party Match’, the battle against each other to be the last one standing, with the grand prize of KRW 60 million.

‘SDJB’ (Zhang Bohan, Chen Jiafu, Liu Jiaqi) also from China took the 2nd place followed by ‘Muda Muda Muda’ (Hoang Quoc Tuan, Le Chi Cuong, Nguyen Hoang Huu Tinh) of Vitetnam. ‘HJH’ from Korea, the highly anticipated winning team, took the 4th place, while the defending champion ‘Blackout’ from Russia finished on the 6th place. The Championship had a total of 4,000 attendances on-site.

The final round hosted a special stage. At the opening stage, Korea’s rock vocalist Jeong Dongha performed live with ‘Heed the Call’ – a remake version of the official Blade & Soul Tournament theme song. He also took the stage with live performance of ‘The Archer Awakens’ for the first time, the Blade & Soul’s ‘Archer’ Original Soundtrack.

The 2nd day of ‘FEVER FESTIVAL 2019’ was a music festival with 16,000 attendances. 11 teams of musicians from different genres were on stage, including EXO-SC, MAMAMOO, AB6IX, Ha Sungwoon, Jung Joonil, Celeb Five, Kwon Jinah, Beenzino, SUNMI, Heize, and ‘High School Rapper 3’ casts (Yeong Ji Lee, GIST, and Young Kay).

The audiences also enjoyed the live performance of this year’s ‘FEVER MUSIC’, the official music of FEVER FESTIVAL. This year, FEVER MUSIC songs were created by different musician groups including Ha Sungwoon, Jung Joonil & Kwon Jinah, and Beenzino each representing different themes of ‘Challenge’, ‘Courage’, and ‘Fever’. NCSOFT revealed its album on the major music streaming platforms. The album includes ‘Dream of a Dream’ by Ha Sungwoon, ‘Should We Start?’ by Jung Joonil & Kwon Jinah, ‘Blurry’ by Beenzino, and ‘Heed the Call’ by Jeong Dongha.
